Hello, 

I'm Nighat Abdulla, founder and artist of  Lèonne Collections. I'm happy to have you visit!

This site was created to share my vision of the beauty of nature. I do this through my innate gift in the Art of Silk Painting. I choose to share my vision of the magnificent beauty of nature through my collection of silk-paintings in the form of eloquent Silk Scarves and Accessories, showcased here on my Lèonne Collections website. Every Silk Painting Art creation that I design comes from a place deep within my heart. 

In briefly sharing my back-story... I was born and raised in Pakistan. It is a country rich in culture and art going back many centuries. I grew up in the beautiful city of Islambad, the Capital of Pakistan. I moved to the USA in 1984 after I married and it has been my home since that time.

As a child, I was always very artistic and spent much of my time creating paintings. I would create flower arrangements for my Mother's social gatherings, as well as decorate her dinner table. I was always intrigued by art, even to the point that in my chemistry class where other students would put chemicals together for their chemistry projects, I would put chemicals together for the purpose of creating different colors.

I have always had great fascination and passion for working with colors and fabrics. This passion led me to the Art of Silk Painting. I began painting 25 years ago, however, I found that when I painted, I would spend hours upon hours creating. Once entering my world of painting, I seemed to exist only in that world. In understanding this and because I was fully dedicated to my family and children, I made the decision years ago that I would not fully pursue my love for Silk Painting until the time came in my life where my children were at a certain age; an age where I would then feel good about dedicating the amount of time I knew I would spend, once I chose to fully enter the world of my silk painting. Recently, that time came. Although several years have passed since I first began painting, I am now fully emerged in my creative passion of Silk Painting and Floral & Event Design. 

My inspiration for painting comes from nature, flowers, fish, birds and natural scenery. Nature has perfect color combinations. Every time I look at a flower I am amazed at the color combinations. For many years I tried to create the color combinations that nature gifts to us with the clothing I wore; however, I only achieved moderate success in doing so. Now that I have allowed my gift of Silk Painting to blossom, I am able to create the spectacular color combinations that nature provides us. I enjoy and am passionate about sharing this beauty of nature through my Lèonne Collections line of eloquent scarves and accessories. Scarves and accessories that portray the beauty of nature, beauty that can be worn with all clothing choices.

Nature, nurtures my soul... 

Although the beautiful Art of Silk Painting nourishes my soul, it would not be possible to create such paintings without the perfect fabric of natural beauty to paint my designs on. Such magnificent fabric being Silk. I have been intrigued by fabric for many years, particularly the fabric Silk. Silk is a very luxurious and sensuous fabric. I paint on this amazing fabric with French dyes only. These dyes are vibrant in color so I am able to portray the beauty of nature skillfully. The beauty of Silk combined with the vibrant colors of the French dyes, provides me the opportunity to create the beautiful Scarves and Accessories that are featured in my Lèonne Collections.

I am thankful for the life I have lived, and for the many blessing that I have been provided. I am happy and thankful that I've been dedicated to my wonderful family and children throughout the years. I am also grateful that I now can live my passion in the Art of Silk Painting; a passion that I am honored to share with you through my Lèonne Collections of Fine Scarves and Accessories. 

Nurturing the innate creative gifts that we are given is vital to our well-being. I am humbled that from the nurturing of my innate gifts, not only was Lèonne Collections created, but also the creation of my Floral company, Nicky's Events.
